[Excerpt] Mounting competition from China and India present one of the biggest challenges for the fledging small launch market, as they increasingly attract business from western operators.

Boosted by state-sponsorship, China in particular is set to significantly drive down satellite manufacturing and launch costs within five years, said Rich Pournelle, business development VP for ISS-based smallsat launch specialist NanoRacks.
